Jacory Harris

Jacory Harris, Quarterback, is currently starting for the University of Miami Hurricanes.  He started his football career in 2006 at Miami Northwestern High school as the starting quarterback.  He was a junior at the time.  He led Northwestern to an undefeated season.  He also completed 275 of 425 passes for 3,542 yards, 35 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.  In 2007 Northwestern again had an undefeated season under his leadership. 

As a starting QB in high school, Harris finished with a 30-0 record.  He was awarded a Class 6A first team all-state selection, the Mr. Football Award and Class 6A Player of the Year.  He attended the 3007 Elite 11football camp; he was ranked nationally as the 7th best pocket-passer QB in the nation.

when he came to the University of Miami it was in competition for the starting QB position.  His competition was former Mr. Florida award winner, Robert Marve.  They split time as starters, with Marve getting 11 of 13 games.  

Marve has since transferred out of Miami, leaving Harris as the full time starting quarterback going into the 2009 season.  During 2008, Harris led Miami on two comeback drives against the Duke Blue Devils and the Virginia Cavaliers.  He finished the season with 1,195 yards, 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.  He is said to have one of the best college QB performances in NCAA history.
